Sunset over the Pacific Ocean at Corona del Mar with dramatic clouds and golden light

Communities · Orange County

Corona del Mar.

A walkable coastal village inside Newport Beach, flower-street cottages, ocean-bluff estates.

The neighborhood

Why buyers choose CdM.

CdM is rare in Orange County: a true walkable village inside a luxury coastal market. From most flower-street addresses, you can walk to Rose Bakery, Zinc, Five Crowns, Pavilions, and the beach ramp at Marguerite. The daily rhythm reads more like a Mediterranean village than typical OC suburbia.

The housing stock is architecturally wide, vintage cottages, Cape Cods, and modern rebuilds on 30×118 lots in the village; terraced ocean-view customs in Cameo Shores and Shore Cliffs; harbor-adjacent estates in Irvine Terrace. Buyers can step in around $2M or at $25M+ without leaving the same ZIP code.

What buyers love

What makes Corona del Mar different.

The flower streets.

A 26-block grid of streets named alphabetically from Acacia to Poppy, lined with cottages and modern rebuilds on narrow lots. The grid is the reason CdM reads as a village rather than a suburb, every home is a few blocks from PCH, a beach ramp, and the ocean bluff.

Tide pools and bluff beaches.

Little Corona is widely considered one of the best tide-pooling beaches in Southern California. Inspiration Point frames Main Corona Beach and Catalina. Big Corona is the family beach; Little Corona is the quieter cove a few hundred yards south.

Village dining and retail.

The PCH strip between Avocado and Poppy holds a dense cluster of independents, Five Crowns, The Bungalow, Pirozzi, CDM Restaurant, Rose Bakery, Zinc. Corona del Mar Plaza at the north end rounds out the everyday retail.
